Mr. Stansbury has been Of Counsel to Brassel Baldwin Kagan & May since 1986. He practices in the areas of business law, real estate, income taxation, estates & trusts, and probate. He has negotiated and drafted documents of exchange, structured mergers and acquisitions, and coordinated all aspects of business creations, reorganizations, and land transactions. He also engages in business succession and estate planning, including the drafting of wills and trusts and probate administration. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Maryland at College Park (1969); received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law (1974), where he served as Articles Editor of the Law Review; and obtained a post-graduate law degree, LL.M (Taxation), from Georgetown University Law Center (1975). He has published a lead article for the Journal of Taxation, a national tax journal utilized by tax professionals. He also has served as a tax specialist with Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Stansbury has been a member at MICPEL business and income tax related seminars; has participated in private seminars with respect to business, income, and estate tax matters; and has taught corporate law as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Baltimore School of Law. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and its Section of Taxation, the Baltimore City Bar Association, and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. He is listed in the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. |
